The Detroit Free Press has hired Chanel Stitt as a business reporter and covers minority businesses, entrepreneurs and nonprofits. She was most recently an intern at the paper and before that interned for MLive.

Eric Snyder has been promoted to editor in chief of the Nashville Business Journal, replacing Lori Becker, who is now the publisher of the paper.Snyder has been on staff since 2009 and has worked in various positions. He spent the past seven year as the managing editor of the publication.  

Bloomberg News has hired two reporters at two of its bureaus:

  • Keith Laing has joined the Washington, D.C., bureau as a correspondent covering auto and transportation regulatory issues. He comes from The Detroit News, where he served as Washington correspondent for four years. Prior to that, Laing worked at The Hill, News Service of Florida and the Atlanta Tribune.
  • Max de Haldevang has joined the Mexico City bureau as a reporter. He was most recently a reporter for Quartz, and as part of the outlet's geopolitics team he covered international corruption issues. Prior to that, de Haldevang reported for Reuters in Mexico and the UK, The Moscow Times, and worked at the Rio and Sochi Olympics for NBC.

NPR/National Public Radio has welcomed Rafael Nam as senior business editor based in Washington, D.C. Nam was previously a campaign editor for The Hill for two years, where he led its digital-first coverage of the 2020 races. Prior to that, he spent 15 years at Reuters in Asia. In his last assignment for Reuters, he led the central bank and markets team in India.

Joe Siragusa has been named program director for WEDG-FM  in Buffalo, New York. He will continue to serve as a PD for co-owned classic hits WHTT-FM, a post he's held for almost 19 years. Siragusa is a 30-year radio programming veteran and has programmed for WRCL-FM in Richmond, Virginia, KGOR-FM in Omaha, Nebraska, and WRQN-FM in Toledo, Ohio, among others.

WBVX-FM (Classic Rock 92.1) in Lexington, Kentucky, has appointed Dennis "Deadair" Dillon as program director and afternoon personality. He has previously worked for WLRS-FM and WSFR-FM in Louisville and WKQQ-FM and WXSS-FM in Lexington. 

iHeartMedia has appointed Zac Davis as vice president of programming for their Greensboro, North Carolina cluster. He comes from Entercom's  WRVQ-FM and WTVR-FM, where he served as SVP/programming.
