Shelby Livingston has joined Business Insider as senior healthcare reporter covering healthcare, health insurance and care delivery. She previously spent four years at Modern Healthcare as a reporter covering the health insurance industry. Livingston has also previously freelanced for Michigan Avenue magazine in Chicago and has worked at Business Insurance.
Rebecca Robbins has been tapped by The New York Times as pharmaceutical reporter. She comes from STAT, where she spent the past three years covering health and tech and before that served as business reporter there. She has also interned for The Washington Post reporting for the financial desk.
USA Today has hired Alia Wong as a national reporter focusing on educational equity. She was most recently a freelance writer covering education, families, race, gender for various national outlets. Prior to that, Wong worked for The Atlantic for five years covering education as well.
Shannon Barbour is the new associate entertainment editor for Bustle and covers entertainment, culture, and trending social and celebrity news. She comes from Cosmopolitan where she has worked as news writer and editorial assistant since 2018. Prior to that, Barbour was a beauty writer for The Cut and an intern at New York Magazine.
CBS News has promoted Jon Carras to broadcast producer of "CBS Sunday Morning with Jane Pauley." He has been with CBS for 14 years and has produced countless of stories for the network including the 2020 Emmy Award-winning "A Sunday Morning in Florence," Charles Osgood’s farewell broadcast and Jane Pauley’s torch passing in 2016. Prior to CBS News, Carras worked for MCNBC's "Countdown with Keith Olbermann."
Anjali Sundaram has moved from production assistant at CNBC's "Squawk Box" to associate producer of CNBC's "Worldwide Exchange." Her duties include booking guests, conducting pre-interviews and getting notes, producing up elements for the show, writing daily readers and segments, and handling the show's social media pages. Sundaram joined CNBC in 2018 after a three-month internship at the network.
KMTR-TV, the dual NBC/CW+-affiliated station in Eugene, Oregon, has hired Billy Floyd is a weekday morning anchor. He was most recently the morning anchor at KTWO-TV in Wyoming where he produced and anchored the 5:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. Good Morning Wyoming newscast. Prior to that, Floyd was a sports reporting intern at CBS6 in New York.
Lena Salzbank has joined WPEC-TV, the CBS station in West Palm Beach, Florida, as a reporter. She was previously with News 12 in New York for four years, most recently as traffic reporter. Before that, she served as a news assistant at NY1 News.
