Bloomberg News has added an editor and a reporter in Hong Kong, and another reporter in New York:

  • Shwetha Sunil has joined the New York office as a reporter. She spent the summer at Bloomberg as an intern and has has also previously reported for The Economic Times, Yahoo Finance, ET Healthworld, and other outlets.
  • Isabella Steger has joined the Hong King bureau as senior editor editing enterprise stories and features across Asia. She comes from Quartz, where she spent four years as a reporter and editor. Prior to that, Steger worked for The Wall Street Journal for five years, as well as South China Morning Post and CNN.
  • Catherine Ngai has moved to the Hong Kong bureau as a reporter on the China markets team. She most recently covered energy markets and commodities for Bloomberg in New York, a position she has held since 2018. Prior to that, Ngai worked for Reuters.

Patrick Kingsley has been named Jerusalem bureau chief for The New York Times, a position he will begin in early 2021. He is currently an international correspondent at the paper's Berlin bureau and has been on staff since 2017. Prior to that, Kingsley worked for The Guardian for six years and reported from the Middle East and Eastern Europe.

The Washington Post has welcomed back Autumn Brewington as an associate opinions editor. She joined The Post as an editing intern in 2001 and worked on the National and Financial teams before joining Opinions in 2004. She became op-ed editor in 2007 and oversaw the op-ed page until 2014. Brewington left to start an online commentary vertical at the Wall Street Journal and subsequently edited at Lawfare and worked on other projects before she come back to The Post on a contract basis earlier this year.

WPRT-FM (102.5 The Game) sports radio in Nashville, Tennessee, has debuted its new morning show “Robby & Rexrode,” with Robby Stanley and Joe Rexrode. The duo succeeds Derrick Mason and Braden Gall, who exited in February. Stanley previously worked for as the Nashville correspondent covering the Nashville Predators and the National Hockey League. Rexrode, who is also a correspondent for The Athletic, was previously a sports columnist at The Tennessean.

Lara Thomas has joined KRSE-FM (105-7 The Hawk) in Yakima, Washington, as program director and afternoon host. She will also be programming Oldies KTCR-AM and K295BT (106.9). She comes from WYMG-FM in Springfield, Illinois, where she was the morning host since 2018. Thomas has also worked in Honolulu, El Paso, and other markets.
