The Associate Customer Content Specialist in PR Newswire’s Customer Content division is a critical customer-facing position, a person adept at multi-tasking across numerous platforms in order to handle customer enquires in a professional and efficient manner. This person will be clear and concise in their verbal and written communication and highly knowledgeable in PRN products and services. This Content Specialist will understand the customer’s needs and meet their expectations every time, while providing professional and consultative service via the telephone, online chat and email.

Job Responsibilities:
•Proofread and edit press releases from clients for delivery to the media, content will be in English or Chinese
•Need a strong grasp of syntax, punctuation, and the Chinese/English languages
•Razor-sharp attention to detail as you edit, format, and handle various client requests, and other news content (e.g., photos, video).
•Ability to think on your feet and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
•Strong customer-service as you will be the face (or voice) to the client.
•Outstanding communication skills and ability to grasp our clients' needs
•Build long-lasting relationships and establish a professional rapport while quickly meeting customer demands.

You will be a good fit if you have:

  • Must have excellent (Mandarin) Chinese and English language skills in both writing and speaking.
  • Working experience in China, particularly in the PR/media industry, is a plus.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills, along with proofreading, communication, and keyboarding skills.
  • A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Communications, Journalism, English or related field.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Microsoft Excel, Word and Web applications experience
  • Must be flexible with schedule, with some OT and holiday coverage required
  • Shift time: 8am-5pm/9am-6pm/10am-7pm (some flexibility may be required as our schedule will change a little bit during EST/EDT)
