To acquire new revenue across Corporations and PR/IR agencies in Australia & New Zealand by establishing PR Newswire /Cision as their partner for press release distribution, media monitoring & Insights and social media management. We are looking for a driven, self-motivated team player who has a minimum of 3+ years experience exceeding targets in a new business role.  This individual must be target driven with an outgoing personality with a professional attitude and strong business acumen.  

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To secure new business sales across marketing, social media, corporate communications, public relations and/or investor relations segments through telephone, via emails, and through face to face meetings
  • Highly proactive with New Business generation across all industries by generating own leads and proposing solutions that lead to maximisation of revenues
  • Highly proficient in demonstrating all PR Newswire/Cision services and products at all levels and become a company ambassador by developing strong relationships with customers face to face, virtually or through industry related events.
  • To reach or exceed specific quarterly and annual targets by achieving pre-set criteria on revenue generated, with primary focus on wire distribution, multimedia services, SaaS and corporate workflow solutions
  • To ensure that all clients are handled to the highest standards with your ability to sell in a consultative manner to decision-makers within IR, PR, Social, Communications and Marketing.
  • Manage sales pipeline and record sales activities utilising CRM system such as Salesforce.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of new business sales development experience, preferably in the relevant industries such as corporate communications, marketing, public relations, investor relations, SaaS, advertising and/or media sales;
  • A solid track record of consistently delivering or exceeding sales targets and other relevant KPIs; 
  • High level of self-motivation, energy and accountability; ability to work both independently and as a team in a fast-paced working environment;
  • Competent in territory management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; mature and engaging personalities; 
  • Fluent in spoken and written English. 
  • Proficiency in Internet and PC software, esp. MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • User knowledge and experience in CRM system is preferred. Salesforce is an advantage.
