The Campaign Marketing Strategist  is an integral part of shaping the future of both our prospect and customer-facing experiences at Cision. The  Campaign Marketing Strategist  will be responsible for creating, implementing, managing and executing industry, vertical, and persona-based lead gen programs. Working in close collaboration with the sales and marketing teams, the  Campaign Marketing Strategist will develop integrated nurture campaigns aligning messaging across buyers' journey. Through the creation of the program, the  Campaign Marketing Strategist will be instrumental in developing a consistent and predictable lead generation model that allows Cision to optimize content, activity and outcomes. 


  • Develop, create and maintain segmented demand and lead campaigns and programs for Cision sales teams at various stages of the funnel
  • Drive net new revenue, improve retention rate and drive upsell/cross-sell through through strategic sales nurture campaigns
  • Understand how to position Cision solutions to engage specific audiences
  • Deliver compelling, value driven narratives, that drive increased awareness of Cision solutions, and improve sales efficiency
  • Work cross-functionally to understand the different needs of different stakeholders
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to get buy-in and full adoption of program
  • Collaborate with sales enablement to facilitate onboarding, training, and enablement of all sales teams on new processes and messaging strategies
  • Track, measure and report on campaign metrics
  • Use quantitative and qualitative information to optimize campaign performance


  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing or related field required. *Master's degree a plus
  • 5 + years specializing in content marketing, sales messaging, nurture sequencing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly MS PowerPoint and MS Excel)
  • Technical expertise in building and maintaining campaign sequences in Xant
  • Experience and knowledge of marketing automation (CRM) platforms and Salesforce
  • Experience in content development and content strategy
  • Strategically minded, critical thinker with strong problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of current communication, marketing and sales trends
  • Collaborative and works well cross-functionally
  • Positive, professional and outgoing; able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proven ability to build consensus and drive efficiency to the bottom-line
  • Entrepreneurial instinct - able to see the big picture while paying close attention to detail
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task under tight deadlines and manage multiple project simultaneously
