Cision will be the most comprehensive, integrated earned media platform in the marketplace, delivering world class distribution, software and services, data, and measurement that will enable the Communications and IR lines of business to enact a complete digital transformation. The business will grow revenue from over 4 years, and in doing so drive a significant increase in enterprise value. This will require material improvements in how we manage our most important channels. This will require a dedicated Channel Activation leader to ensure more effective strategies, pricing, and go to market. There will be strong partnerships with the Global Commercial, Product and Marketing teams to ensure alignment of customer strategy and engagement.   • Build and execute a mid-market agency strategy to drive revenue and reduce churn. Create a suitable Agency Partner Program that will effectively extend the program globally and appropriately for the SBM Agency tier.
  • Leverage Impact, Insights, Monitoring and Distribution (including Multivu) for data-driven campaigns to
  • increase average spend and enhance agency offerings. Additionally, leverage Cision’s Distribution Network to create unique agency distribution packages to allow premium placement of branded content and paid amplification to enhance campaign impact.
  • SMB (Long Tail): Align with Product to plan and implement an online engagement strategy that leverages customer portals to better inform, deliver increased usage and better justify through ROI. Additionally, direct marketing on the most effective nurture campaigns both in terms of new member profiles and ongoing engagement with existing clients. This plan must be global in nature resulting in SMB clients increased press releases utilization.
  • VPO and Resellers: Double Virtual Press Office (VPO) revenue by working with the business manager to create a reimagined product more focused on a Trade Show Media Room that will be more competitive in a changed trade show landscape.
  • Develop profitable channel partners in key verticals (e.g. BIO) that will not evolve their channel to compete with Cision.
  • Partner with the Network team to create and sell Cision enhanced branded content and distribution solutions for leading global event companies.


  • Industry Experience: extensive experience in agency, reseller and “long tail” / small to medium business channel activation-deep understanding of the distribution of digital content, marketing, audience development and market trends - including prior experience setting strategy and leading marketing or sales functions.
  • Negotiation: strong negotiation skills, with significant track-record of delivering deals on time and within scope
  • Financial Mindset: A strong financial acumen and a proven track record of delivering margin-accretive innovation and cost management
  • Communication: clear and data-driven communicator, able to articulate vision and direction, as well as convey complex problems with ease. Experience communicating with executive audiences down through to front-line staff
