Working at our Sofia office, you will be part of a team of more than 20 employees in the global finance department, with finance colleagues in Sofia, Copenhagen, Germany, and India. We are working closely together with the finance colleagues from other Cision group companies and colleagues from the business as well. You´ll report directly to the Accounting & Control Manager, based in Sofia, covering accounting and financial reporting processes related to Falcon group of companies. 
 
As an individual you are passionate about clean data, business process optimization, and the delivery of timely financial reporting. You are comfortable developing relationships with relevant stakeholders, and you excel with numbers.

What you will do:

  • Perform daily bookkeeping and related tasks such as processing accounts payable, reconciling bank accounts, booking accruals, updating fixed asset schedules, and running depreciation and amortization. 
  • Assist in the weekly cashflow analysis and payment run process. 
  • Coordinate and/or prepare necessary statutory and tax reporting for your responsible entities. 
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of resp. Balance Sheet accounts and follow up on outstanding items. 
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Local and US (Group) accounting standards. 
  • Play an integral role in the month-end close and reporting process for the entire group. 
  • Participate in the optimization of finance processes across departments and entities. 
  • Create analytical insights and reports for management. 
  • Contribute to and lead finance projects for the Falcon (Cision) group companies

What you will need:

  • Excellent English speaking and writing skills - Falcon's company language is English.  
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting/Finance, and 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.  
  • Experience working with common ERP systems (experience with NetSuite is preferred but not required). 
  • A solid understanding of general accounting principles and comfort with standard month-end close procedures, such as cost accruals, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis. 
  • An analytical mindset with a desire to fulfil tasks in a detail-oriented way.  
  • An outgoing personality, with a love for proactively tackling problems. 
  • The ability to communicate with colleagues and stakeholders from all over the world.
