The Manager of Global Network Operations is advanced technical resource with responsibility of managing Cision's network engineering team. The position requires general guidance and direction from senior IT Leadership but is expected to operate with some autonomy. The role oversees day-to-day monitoring, maintenance and upgrading of the enterprise network infrastructure in a state-of-the-art global technology environment. The position requires strong capabilities in routing, switching, network application delivery.

You will help us by:

  • Managing and overseeing the network engineering team, including day-t-day oversight of tasks and projects
  • Producing and reporting on relevant KPI's
  • Meeting or exceeding SLA's for network uptime
  • Managing and resolving incidents
  • Collaborate with other functional IT areas to ensure that IT best practices, policies, and procedures are adhered to
  • Work with Information Technology staff to provide recommendations on, and implement new applications and infrastructure
  • Training and mentoring team members, along with creating opportunities for them to develop and progress
  • Reviewing staff performance and coaching team members
  • Leading by example; establishes clear expectations, sets direction and priorities, ensures work levels are balanced among all staff, resolves internal staff issues in a timely manner, keeps staff informed of all appropriate information, builds an effective team, delegates at appropriate level
  • Adhering to to Department budget, seeking opportunities to improve department efficiency and reduce expenses by streaming operations
  • Designing, configuring, administering, monitoring, and troubleshooting complex enterprise environment for data communications and solution improvements with the company's high-traffic, business-critical, internet production environment
  • Monitoring network performance and providing security measure, troubleshooting and maintenance, as needed
  • Developing and implementing plans for infrastructure upgrades, modeling, analysis, and planning
  • Acquiring, maintaining, and reporting on data related to network performance management, capacity planning and utilization trend analysis
  • Providing after-hours support for systems and applications
  • Analyzing, designing, testing, and evaluating network systems, such as VoIP, local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), internet, intranet, and other data communications systems
  • Working with complex network and storage environments including SAN, clustering, load balancing, multi-site VPNs, network IPS, and firewalls.

You will be a good fit for the role if you have:

  • 7+ years in setup, configuration and maintenance of networking infrastructure including Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, VPN technologies, MPLS and other WAN administration
  • 7+ years with configuring and supporting I" networks including technologies such as Cisco's application centric infrastructure (ACI) and Viptela SDWAN
  • Knowledge of Cisco UCS, Dell, HP, and other compute platforms
  • Strong fundamental knowledge of networks, ports, protocols, and infrastructure setup
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, etc. in a large multi-site environment
  • In-depth knowledge of IT standards, concepts, best practices, and procedures - relies on knowledge, experience, and judgement to plan and accomplish goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for purposes of both communicating with IT team members as well as other departments
  • Ability to take initiative and manage multiple detailed tasks in a fast-paced and ever - changing environment
  • Organizational, project management abilities, strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Working with an Enterprise - Level system: Larger than 1,000 PCs and 500 Servers (multi-platform) a definite plus
  • TCP/IP Monitoring and Troubleshooting
  • Experience with multi-region Amazon Web Services (AWS) networking configurations
  • VMware / vSphere 6.0+
