The role:

The Global Business Services (GBS) organisation is seeking a driven, analytical, and detail-oriented Global Vendor Manager (GVM). As a member of the Vendor Management Office (VMO), the GVM will be responsible for onboarding, maintaining and developing third-party services in line with business requirements.
They will work cross-functionally within Cision’s Global Business Services unit to drive successful achievement of both the vendor revenue targets and strategic objectives.

Main duties and responsibilities:
1.       Contract Administration

a.       Day-to-day VMO contact for assigned 3rd parties that support Content Delivery Service Operations.
b.       Acts as a 1st stage escalation point for vendor related issues and supports risk identification/management activities.
c.       Ensures compliance to all contractual obligations and holds vendors accountable for service disruptions with contracted penalties.
d.       As part of VMO, manages GBS vendor costs, accountable for ensuring good fiscal discipline and adherence to wider P&L.
e.       Manage change control procedures with 3rd parties. Contributes to SOW and Change Order administration.
f.        Partner / collaborate with Cision Legal to ensure accurate administration of contracts and that all contracts with suppliers are up-to-date and fit for purpose.
g.       Supports activity related to identification, due diligence, negotiation and onboarding of new vendors.
h.       Other related activities as required.

2.       Supplier Relationship Management

a.       Identify and map key figures within supplier businesses. Actively network to build strong and influential relationships. Meeting key account teams/leads regularly
b.       Constantly review the service portfolio and BPO market to identify opportunities to expand/enhance CDS scope.

3.       Governance Management

a.     Contribute to governance related activities, including creating/reviewing governance material, establishing best practice governance across vendor portfolio and leading + contributing to reviews for vendors.
b.     As part of VMO, identifies opportunities and contributes to implementation of governance processes and framework.

4.     Building a strong network across the BPO industry globally

a.     Creating/fostering connections and relationships with key suppliers in the industry
b.     Understanding and being familiar with key trends and new approaches that BPOs are taking to deliver services
c.     Build network within existing vendor partnerships to identify development opportunities.
d.     Continuously evaluating the market to identify possible future opportunities/partners for Cision.

Essential Skills and Experience:

•       Significant experience working in a senior operational role and with 3rd party Vendor/Supplier management.
•       Outstanding leadership, ability to influence and manage at all levels within a global organisation.
•       Proven track record in developing and maintaining effective and collaborative relationships with stakeholders.  
•       Excellent presentation skills with outstanding written and verbal communication.
•       Proven track record of successful vendor/partner relationship management.
•       Significant negotiation experience and a track record of managing complex contracts and suppliers.
•       Strong data extraction, analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to quickly understand root cause and identify scalable solutions.
•       Knowledge of outsource market and global suppliers

The standard working hours will be 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday 09.00 to 17:30  excluding one-hour unpaid lunch break per day.
