Cision is looking for a dynamic, results-driven Operations Manager with excellent operational expertise, communication and stakeholder management skills.
As the Operations Manager (OM) you will work in collaboration with sector leads and the German Insights senior leadership group to ensure we maintain and develop the operational mechanics underpinning the provision of insights services to foster a consistent, high quality, efficient, scalable and continuously improving environment.
You will have responsibility for talent management and orchestrate training activity within the German Insights team, including recruitment, induction and onboarding of new starters, organization of ongoing coaching and training for core skills and progression, as well as activities related to the integration and migration of new tools and platforms.
The Operations Manager is a service partner to the department leadership team and collaborates with them to support the ongoing development of the talent pool and to determine key people and training priorities to build and maintain a high performing team in alignment with broader business objectives.
Duties and responsibilities:
Supports the department leadership team in developing and tracking performance improvement targets for quality, service and efficiency of the operation. Measures the success of training sessions and the impact on these KPIs, seeking continuous improvement.
Collaborates with Germany Insights leadership group to ensure a positive, employee and customer focused culture is maintained and developed.
Works collaboratively with the Sector Leads to foster a customer innovation culture within the department through coaching, learning and training activities.
Oversees the ongoing development and delivery of the Insights Germany department training strategy with the goals to drive performance levels, employee development and customer satisfaction.
Leads activity to ensure consistency of people management, personal development and succession planning across the team.
Develops an in-depth understanding of current, new and upcoming platforms. Keeps up to date on latest functionality developments and has accountability for effective communication of changes to the broader department. Supports the rest of the department leadership team in activities related to integration and migration of platforms, systems and production workflows.
Supports the sector leads in the development and maintenance of project documentation to ensure consistency and quality of insights services and production processes.
Acts as an internal liaison and escalation point for operational issues including IT tickets, content and coding, user profiles and equipment for new starters. Escalates to senior leadership as appropriate.
Supports Insights leadership with German recruitment strategy and collaborates with HR to improve recruitment and interview material, support the candidate pipeline, enhance candidate experience and maximise opportunities to source excellent talent.
Develops, publishes and maintains a calendar of ongoing training/verification of skills activities within the department.
Supports the department leadership team to create and manage training materials to support inter-department training and increase the understanding of media analysis. Regularly reviews all training sessions and material, maintaining and improving where required.
Liaises regularly with global Insights operations team and ensures global and local strategy and processes are aligned.

Essential Skills and Experience:
Bachelors or Masters degree
Minimum 5 years of experience in media analysis, project and process management
Superb written and oral communication skills across all channels/formats
Excellent time management and organisation skills
Experience of motivating and inspiring individuals
Proven track record in developing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders
Experience of process design and improvement
Outcome and results oriented
Organisation and planning, managing multiple demands, and achieving results
Ability to influence and drive consensus amongst stakeholder groups at all levels
Advance user of Office 365
Proven project management ability
Ability to work autonomously and as a team player across a global internal network
