In this role, you will lead Cision’s efforts to collect social content and turn it into meaningful and actionable data. You will also collaborate with other product managers to include the social content and data with earned and owned media in Cision’s analytics tools. 

Here’s what you’ll do:

  •  Work in a collaborative, dynamic environment with a team of smart & passionate product managers, UX designers, and developers. 
  • Partner with an engineering manager to ingest social content from Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Weibo, and other important social tools. 
  • Work closely with other Product and Engineering functions to ensure a cohesive experience with both short (e.g. Tweets) & long (e.g. Online articles) form content to analyze and create actionable experiences with this data 
  • Work with customers to make sure our products are solving their problems and making them look like communications rock stars. 
  • Execute on the Content and Data roadmap, taking full ownership from discovery, definition, development, care and feeding, and end of life. 

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Understanding of the world of social media metrics. If you don’t know how to aggregate retweets, shares, and likes in a dashboard, this probably isn’t the right role for you. 
  • Understanding of the allowed uses for social networks APIs. You should know or know how to quickly find out, how we can use the social media content we ingest into Cision’s analytics engine. 
  • 2 years of experience in product management, solution consulting, sales engineering, or social campaign management. 
  • You have a passion for data and analytics, coupled with an understanding of how and why good analytics can be valuable to business 
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills to teach co-workers, collaborate with developers, learn from customers and align with partners 
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, loosely structured and dynamic environment 
  • You have the curiosity, humility, and intellectual energy to constantly extend your knowledge 
  • You love helping others achieve their goals 
  • Bonus points if you have: Experience as a user or product manager of analytics software and large-scale data sets.
