Marketing Manager - Open to UK remote workers -

The Segment Marketing Manager will own and manage the process for researching and developing our segment approach including proposition development, segment marketing plans and activities that respond to segment and buyer persona needs and enabling the sales teams with customer insight, positioning, messaging, and the tools to sell effectively.
You will report to the Head of UK Marketing and work closely with the Content Marketing Manager.
What are we looking for?
Own the annual marketing map and communications schedule for the segment – clear, compelling, and consistent with the Cision brand.
Be the champion of the segment, understand and communicate the commercial and competitive context for this group of customers and be able to communicate their importance to the business.
Lead the customer understanding of the segment, research and data analysis to flesh out the segment profile. Understand the purchasing process and attitude of PR and Marketing services. Develop and test the segment proposition and offers.
Use clear customer insight to identify and deliver the specific needs of the segment.
Develop the customer segment product, service and adoption roadmap, incorporating the entire Cision portfolio where appropriate. Work cross-functionally and across Cision business units to deliver the proposition.
Where the business is not currently able to meet the segment needs, liaise with Product and Customer Experience to highlight the product/ service opportunity and assist with development (expert view and testing) where required.
Outline the desired customer experience for the segment – communication channels, sales approach, and service delivery. The proposition needs to balance the desired customer experience with profitable growth.
Create compelling value propositions and core messaging for relevant products for the customer segment and manage launch plans for new products for this customer group.
Communications to drive the understanding within the business of the segment and their proposition. Advise internally on product and market issues for your segments, inputting into customer and product advisory boards, and thought leadership.
Create key sales tools to support awareness, lead generation, sales conversion, and full product penetration into new and existing customers.
Draw on marketing expertise to design key metrics, set objectives and measure the impact of the marketing and communications plan for the designated segment, with the aim of growing revenue from both new and existing customers (revenue, customer acquisition, product penetration and retention – ultimately profitability)
Manage, develop and coach the skills among your peers
Essential Skills and Experience
Extensive B2B marketing experience, ideally in a SAAS or publishing organisation
Experience in managing high profile end-to-end marketing campaigns for a product suite (including launching new products) for multiple customer segments
Experience in developing and implementing marketing plans and campaigns using multiple elements of the marketing mix
Significant experience in working with, influencing, and presenting to senior stakeholders
Strong writing skills and ability to communicate with impact (written and verbal), with an eye for detail

This role is for a start date ASAP with an expected salary up to £55,000 per annum.
