The Solutions Engineer will be responsible for working across Strategic Operations functions. In the case of RFPs and new business, they will ingest and process inputs from prospective clients, which may include filling out questionnaires, assessing source lists and managing timelines. The Solutions Engineer will also propose solutions and provide guidance on the implementation of new services, including setting up dictionaries/search strings and coding structures, developing checklists and processes and leading training programs.  Throughout the sales, implementation and delivery process the Solutions Engineer will need to communicate effectively across teams to facilitate effective product and services delivery for Cision Insights. They will be responsible for building and maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of Cision’s platforms, deliverables and services. And they will be expected to observe and surface competitive and marketplace trends, contribute to best practice reporting and assist in the development of other collateral to support the sales process. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assess and gather project inputs to determine resourcing requirements 
  • Organize and document all necessary information for sales opportunities, including RFPs 
  • Align Cision platform and delivery team capabilities to scopes 
  • Participate in presentation meetings and serve as a knowledge source for prospects  
  • Facilitate communication between sales, insights and product teams 
  • Lead trainings on implementation processes and best practices 
  • Work with delivery teams to implement new client services 
  • Act as an expert resource on Cision platforms and services 
  • Contribute to best practice reporting 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum years of experience working in media monitoring and analysis; services work preferred 
  • Understanding of monitoring and analysis tools and platforms; experience with Cision systems preferred 
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Ability to manage constantly shifting workflows in the moment 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Proven analytical skills with systematic problem-solving abilities 
  • Advanced time management, attention to detail and organizational skills. Adaptable and flexible with an ability to respond to changing work priorities, pressure and demands 
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team 
  • Working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
