The Sr. Director for Product Operations & Shared Services is a strategic, high-impact role responsible for owning the product vision and strategy for building out critical platform services that power a fully connected experience across Cision’s suite of products and services.  These shared services include authentication, provisioning, communication, product analytics, and more. 

In this role, you will be responsible for driving product initiatives from inception through execution. You will bring together our designers, engineers, and other cross-functional team members to build market-leading products and tools that help our customers achieve their goals.  Additionally, you will lead a team of Product Analysts, Product Owners and Product Managers, establishing best practices for product discovery, planning, and execution.

Successful individuals will possess deep product development expertise, and the business acumen to work with stakeholders and senior management to drive alignment on priorities and tradeoffs. What you'll do:

  • Own a compelling product vision and roadmap fueled by market research combined with innovation and creativity
  • Work cross-functionally across the organization to ensure alignment on product strategy and areas of investment
  • Balance the product investment decisions to maximize the long-term growth potential for the product portfolio, while enabling the offerings to meet and exceed existing commercial plans
  • Assess competitive and industry trends to gather qualitative and quantitative data for purposes of product positioning and roadmap planning
  • Own the Product Management roadmap from idea inception to final delivery, managing product teams who work with UX, Engineering and Data Science on product discovery, requirements, and project plans to drive timely execution towards launch
  • Communicate the product strategy and vision to the executive team exposing risks and tradeoffs
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the market landscape, identifying areas of growth and driving ROI on product investments 
  • Manage a team of product managers, product owners, and product analysts
  • Establish a product management center of excellence, coaching team members on best practices in product discovery, planning, execution, and go-to-market
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing on go-to-market strategies designed to showcase our products' unique value and maximize revenue opportunity 
  • Incorporate customer feedback, usage analysis, market data, and marketing and technology trends into compelling product strategies that drive our customers’ business goals
  • Create and track KPIs and success metrics for all product launches

What we're looking for:

  • 8+ years of Product Management experience in customer-facing SaaS platforms, preferably developing Martech or Analytics focused products, technologies and platforms
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher. Degree(s) in Marketing, Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics all a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across cross-functional teams 
  • Expertise communicating progress at each phase of development as appropriate, including published roadmaps, requirements and other information
  • Ability to identify and communicate risks to the product execution plans, including identifying potential trade-offs and making recommendations to senior leadership teams
  • Ability to manage the big picture combined with strong attention to detail
  • Experience driving initiatives across cross-functional teams in a global environment
  • Strong sense of ownership and desire to drive results
  • The curiosity, humility, and intellectual energy to constantly extend your knowledge
