What do you wish for this holiday season? #prwish is like the Delilah of Twitter
If you have a light station in your city, you might know who Delilah is. She’s the buttery-voiced radio DJ who makes listeners’ Christmas wishes come true every night on her radio show. The wishes vary in their scope. Sometimes Delilah will grant wishes to people who’ve asked her to pay off their medical debt while others write her in hopes of getting a bicycle. Either way, Delilah reads these letters, grants these wishes and usually makes listeners cry with excitement and gratefulness.
Wait, should I be embarrassed that I listen to Delilah?
Never mind that for now. Every time I listen to her show, I always wonder what wishes I would ask her to grant. Although it might be wise for Delilah to pay off my credit card, I feel like I’d buckle and just ask her for an iPad. But then I think about asking for a Hawaiian vacation. Or a lifelong membership to a cheese club. Or new car. OK, now this is getting embarrassing.
This time of year means many people are creating some sort of wish lists whether they are realistic or outlandish. Even if my dreams about a lifelong membership to a cheese club are unrealistic, it is fun to think about. (Artisinal Cheese , I am talking to you) It’s always fun to hear about what other people wish for even if those wishes will never come true.
So we want to hear what wishes you have during this time of year. Using the #prwish hashtag on Twitter, we want to hear your wishes. We’re not Delilah but we still want to know what would make you happy. It could be a new cubicle at work or a new pair of shoes – we want to hear them all. Do you want a Starbucks in your office? More hours in the day? A potty-trained cat? More coverage for your clients? Whether it’s something serious or something off-the-wall, we’re interested.
Start using the #prwish hashtag today on Twitter and listen to what would make other people happy during this holiday season.
