Users Conference Attendees: We’re Signing Up for Thursday’s Rerun
For most, the Vocus Virtual Conference on July 28th is a first chance to learn how to earn your business more reach and influence from Peter Shankman, Lee Odden, Gini Dietrich, Adam Singer and Valeria Maltoni.
For some, it’s a second chance. Several attendees from June’s Users Conference (where we taped the sessions you’ll see) just couldn’t get enough, and registered again.
“I had known about the U.C. for years,” says NAIFA’s Shelia Owens. “I went this year and really enjoyed it. Now, I’m looking to view the presentations that I wasn’t able to go to – I think it’s great to be able to go to a session that you missed. It’s kind of overwhelming when you’re at the conference with so much great information to take in.”
“I missed a few of the speakers that you are highlighting in the virtual conference, and I really wanted to see Peter Shankman again,” says NJEA’s Mary Frans. “He has a lot of energy. He speaks in real terms and paints a great picture.”
“He was hilarious,” agrees Sheila. “I love speakers who are comfortable – and he obviously is very comfortable, has a good story to tell and told it well. I thought he was inspirational and down to earth – that was a very good session.”
Returning speaker Gini Dietrich also made an impression at the Users Conference with a session on blogger relations:
“She was great – she had some really good ideas,” says Sheila. “Like: if you’re pitching for book reviews, you shouldn’t give a blogger the entire book to review – you should give 10 bloggers 10 different chapters, to get 10 different opinions. That was very creative.”
The conference is five hours long, completely free; features live QA sessions with each speaker, and will be available to view on demand for six months.
