HARO Helps Hail Heroic Hound (And Other Success Stories)

Working in his garden one October, Richard Schulenberg of Los Angeles began sweating profusely and experiencing chest pains. He was having a heart attack. Slowly and painfully, he began making his way towards his house. He was managing just a few feet at a time when his dog, an English Setter named Falstaff, arrived on the scene and sensed his distress. Falstaff began barking relentlessly and continued until he’d alerted Richard’s partner Arlene Winnick, who rushed to the backyard, found her husband and drove him to the ER, saving his life.

The stage was set for Falstaff, already a hero dog in his owners’ eyes, to become a hero on a wider stage.
