The Rules of (Smarter) Engagement: Free Brian Solis Webinar!

The social media revolution means The End of Business as Usual and a new era of influence, says social media powerhouse Brian Solis. As customers grow more confident and vocal, he says, big brands are adapting or falling by the wayside. Meanwhile, fast-moving challengers are making huge gains through smart, meaningful customer engagement.

It sounds like a worrying picture and a big job, so you should take the opportunity to join Brian as he breaks it down, step by step, and then shows you the solution in a free, one-off Vocus webinar, The Rules of (Smarter) Engagement, next Tuesday at 1.00pm ET.

When brands and businesses communicate via social media, says Brian, the result is often a ‘customer gap’. That’s the gap between what you might think your customers want to hear about – like  company news and product details – and what your customers actually want to hear about.

For example, if customers are simply following brands for discounts – which a lot of customers most probably are – filling your social media streams with repurposed press release copy is going to do the opposite of what you want. Those followers are going to find your content irrelevant and tune you out permanently by culling you from their social stream.

The remedy: ask questions, listen, and deliver experiences people want. It’s a technique Brian explores at length in his new book, The End of Business As Usual – but until you buy your copy, you can get a head start in Brian’s Vocus webinar this Tuesday at 2.00pm.
