Tyz Scarves Wraps Up Media Coverage with Vocus

How did a startup scarf company get featured in Trends Magazine, Accessories Magazine, in fashion and invention blogs, and even in the local newspaper after just two months? With loads of hard work from owner Ruth Bielobocky and some help from Vocus – that’s how.

Tyz Scarves is a one-woman show.  Ruth thought of the idea herself:  scarves that stay in place throughout the day thanks to stainless steel wiring in their side seams. She applied for the patent herself.  She created a website, sourced the wire and fabrics and found a manufacturer herself.  In early October, she launched it. She began spending every waking hour growing Tyz Scarves: making sales calls, creating new designs, managing deliveries and promoting her new brand.

However, she couldn’t do it all on her own, especially the time-consuming tasks of  identifying and reaching the right journalists to generate buzz for her business – so she turned to Vocus software for a helping hand.
