Weekly Feature for Fashion & Beauty Fanatics: Q&A with Nikki Joel
Today marks the second edition of CisionNavigator’s Fashion & Beauty e-newsletter, which is geared toward journalists and bloggers. The free weekly newsletter features industry-related job postings, staff updates, Q&As with the fashion and beauty community, upcoming industry events and more.
This week we chatted with Nikki Joel, aka Miss Lemonaid, from Lifestyle Lemonaid. She shares fall trends, her favorite places to shop, and why she loves the fashion and beauty industry.
Q: How did you get into the fashion and beauty media industry?
A: It’s a hobby or a sport some may say. I became interested at a young age because I found that fashion was a way to express myself. I am also big on finding the best of the best and I realized early on that the best is not necessarily the most expensive. So I went on a mission to always test out products and new stores. I love popping into new spaces and meeting new people. Shopping is a way for me to do this.
Q: What keeps you in the industry?
A: My love for all things fashion – colors, new trends, new finds. I am a pop culture junkie. I love reading the latest and greatest books and watching all the new shows.
Q: What are some trends we can look out for this fall?
A: Gold (which I am extra excited about), military, pants, plaids, braids, tweeds, white, royal purple, oversized long coats…
Q: If you had to choose one outfit to wear every day, what would it look like?
A: Skinny’s, colorful blazer, t-shirt, a pair of fun heels (colorful) and a wicked chain. I have a chain addiction.
Q: What is your favorite place to shop?
A: Madison, Zara, Steve Madden, J-Crew and Barneys to name a few…
Q: Any tips for PR professionals who want to get in contact with you?
A: Sure – send Miss Lemonaid a letter: email@example.com
