Introducing Group Publishing from Viralheat
As social media took off and became a staple for all marketing departments, the need for social media management tools arose. Social media management tools were created based on the premise of ease and convenience, allowing departments to take on the extra workload and still have an active presence online. Viralheat’s social media management, monitoring, and analytics tool offers a way to manage numerous accounts with ease and convenience.
Viralheat recently added Publishing Groups to its extensive Publishing suite. These groups save users time by allowing them to post the same message to selected social media accounts simultaneously. You can create a group, include select specific accounts, and save the group for future use. There’s a variety of ways groups can be utilized to make your social media management more efficient.
Managing a variety of social media accounts for multiple clients can be a test of juggling skills and multitasking. With Viralheat Groups, you can set up designated groups for each client so you can post the same content to their Twitter accounts, Facebook Pages, or Linkedin accounts. If you have a client who has a campaign running that spans across products, you can make groups based on each campaign. For example, let’s say you manage Coca Cola’s multiple Twitter accounts for its most popular drinks – Coke, Diet Coke, and Coke Zero. If Coca Cola was running a Twitter campaign across the various products, you can add the handles to a group and post updates through the publishing tool without having to manually tweet from each account.
Use Viralheat with your personal accounts. If you’re managing multiple accounts, you can create a group that just contains your personal accounts to share updates/posts with your friends. Post simultaneously to your Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. You can also schedule posts for your groups so you can stay active while away from the computer or busy with work obligations.
When you’re responsible for the social presence of one company there may be times that you would like to publish a specific message across all your company’s social media platforms, such as a product announcement, press release, or service outage. By setting up a group for your business, you’ll be able to send a consistent timely message to the online community.
How to Get Started with Groups
1. Locate the Publishing button at the top right hand corner and click on it.
2. The Publishing box will appear where you can craft your message, select the accounts or groups to post to, or create a new group.
3. Once you have clicked on + Add a Group, you’ll be directed to a new page where you can name your group and add accounts to the group. Once the group is set up how you like, click save. Your groups will now be saved in the system for posting efficiency.
4. After you have saved the group to Viralheat, click on the publishing button. Hover over the blue groups icon to select a group to publish to.
