5 Tips for Using Your Viralheat Smart Stream

After today’s product news, we’re here to share some tips to help you get the most out of your Viralheat Smart Stream. The unified view allows you to view your Facebook stream, Twitter feed, LinkedIn stream, and Google+ updates, and keyword search mentions in one Smart Stream and engage right away. The key is to connect your accounts and create keyword searches so that you can customize streams to your liking, engage with your community and understand your sentiment and identify potential sales leads.

Tip #1

Add your social media accounts into Viralheat. Viralheat allows you to connect and manage Facebook Pages and Profiles, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Google+ accounts from one dashboard. These can be set up as streams individually or in groups with other platforms and keyword searches. You can then publish to one, some or all of your connected accounts with our cross-platform publishing feature.

Tip #2

Add keyword searches to Viralheat. Keyword searches allow you to surface mentions of keywords, phrases, slogans, hashtags and more across the social web. The social web includes Facebook Pages, Twitter, Pinterest, Youtube and blogs.  Keyword searches can be added to existing streams or stand alone as their own stream for efficient monitoring. Find keyword search profiles by filtering your stream. To see all mentions of your keyword across network, click all and select from the drop down menu or find a specific keyword search profile under each platform. If you only want to see a keyword search mentions on Facebook, select Facebook from the filter and choose your Keyword Search. Your Smart Stream will populate with those mentions.

Tip #3

Create custom streams with Viralheat’s advanced filtering options. From the Filter dropdown menu, choose to create streams by platform, keyword search, sentiment, intent or any combination of all four. Some ideas for streams would be an overall company stream, department streams (i.e. for sales or support), various client’s streams or competitor analysis streams based on keywords associated with your competitor(s) and their product(s).

Tip #4

Engage with your community directly from your streams. Social media is all about the on-going conversation so choose to reply, retweet, comment, share, like and more from your stream. You can even email mentions to colleagues and clients to share specific mentions and social media insights with your team.

Tip #5

View sentiment and sales leads for individual mentions directly from your streams. Viralheat’s sentiment analysis technology allows you to identify social media leads with intent to purchase.  These leads can be sent to Sales for follow up or contacted directly through your social media channels.
