Heidi Sullivan wins the 2014 Hubbie for Individual Influencer of the Year
When I met Heidi Sullivan back in 2003, I knew there was something special about the ease in which she communicated and inspired those around her. Today, I’m just one of many who have taken notice of what Heidi has been able to accomplish with her career in a short amount of time.
Heidi’s success thus far is no accident. It’s a combination of hard work and a unique ability to see the direction this industry is going before it happens. Not only is Heidi this year’s Influencer of the Year, she is also the youngest member of the Cision executive team – named SVP of Digital Content in 2013 – and was recently named to PR Week’s Top 40 under 40.
The Hubbies were announced during the first ever Hub Convene conference in San Francisco. During the conference, Heidi co-presented alongside Shonali Burke, another thought leader in the PR space, on “Content Marketing Metrics that Matter.”
Some key takeaways of the presentation were:

- How the way you phrase your headline can positively or negatively impact your campaign by up to 400 percent
- How a multi-channel approach for content marketing can double the effectiveness of your campaigns

When Heidi is not traveling around the country speaking at industry events, she is busy overseeing the team that manages the content that flows into and out of the Cision platform. Last year, she helped to develop and launch Cision’s Content Marketing Suite – which allows users to create, curate and amplify content across more than 90,000 publisher sites.
As a regular contributor and founding member of Cision Blog, she frequently writes and hosts webinars on content marketing, digital trends and social media. She recently co-authored a content marketing ebook, titled Power Your Story: Content Marketing Essentials for PR.
