A measurement revolution: AMEC Measurement Week

By now, we all realize the importance of being able to quantify the results of our hard PR work. But it’s only recently that PR has been called on to show true ROI, proving it deserves to be thought of as a profit-center on the same level as marketing. Because of this shift, the focus on measurement in the PR space is growing. Highlighting the need for expertise in this area is a new worldwide campaign from the International Association for the Measurement and Evaluation of Communication (AMEC), aptly named Measurement Week. In conjunction with AMEC’s global events, Cision and Vocus have come together to present AMEC Measurement Week in New York City, a weeklong series of free events examining the state of big data and analytics this September.

Our AMEC Measurement Week will kick off with opening keynote Mark Schaefer on September 15, and will continue with other key speakers throughout the week including Peter Shankman, NPR’s Lauren Bracey Scheidt and Nick DePrey, Chris Penn, Shonali Burke, and Peter Himler, among others. Each complimentary session includes breakfast and one or two presentations.
