Karen Meyer Announces Retirement Plans from WLS-TV
WLS-TV features reporter Karen Meyer has announced plans for retirement, effective Sept. 28. Meyer joined WLS as a contributing editor for issues pertaining to people with disabilities in July 1991. She has her own consulting firm called Karen L. Meyer and Associates, and previously served as the vice chairperson on the President’s Committee on Employment for People with Disabilites under President Bill Clinton. Meyer also has earned accolades for her leadership and service, including a 2003 Damen Award from the Graduate School of Loyola University and the 2000 Distinguished Alumnus Award from Eastern Illinois University.
