2015: The Year of the Doer
Happy New Year and welcome to 2015 and the Year of the Doer.
OK – I’ll admit that I’ve just made that up but it sounds like it could be a thing – right? Well if we put a little action behind our words, we could just make it happen.
The fact is, the future does not belong to planners, schemers or ideas people. It belongs to the kind of people who put their plans into action and do things – or “Doers” as I like to call them.
You cannot keep a doer down. They are always on the go, launching new initiatives and projects. They act on ideas quickly, test the market and roll out, optimize or mothball depending on success. Doers fail as often as they succeed but when they do find success, they soar.
Steve Jobs was a doer. Seth Godin is a doer. Richard Branson is a doer. Wouldn’t you like to be a doer in 2015?
As always, in the marketing department at Viralheat we like to eat our own dog food, so how will we be embracing The Year of the Doer?
In 2015 we’ll be doing more:
- Listening: We’d be pretty arrogant if we didn’t take the time to listen to our clients to understand what you want and need from social media. Our ear is always to the ground on Twitter @viralheat and you can meet us every week online for a free product demonstration and chat here.
- Client focused content: Focusing on helping our clients (and our potential clients) solve real world problems via their social media activities. This content will be distributed via this blog (updated multiple times per week), via our regular webinars and more detailed eBooks and whitepapers (watch this space for more info soon).
- Product development: A great social media product (in terms of technology and customer service) cannot stand still. Rest assured our developers will be busy in 2015 helping us to help you to become more efficient and productive social media marketers.
- Events: We’re not the kind of Internet company to hide behind a browser. In 2015, we’ll be getting out more to meet you. We’ve already announced events in Edinburgh, Malta and London in January 2015 and will be announcing a series of new events across the US and Europe soon.
So how can you get more involved in the year of the doer?
A great first step would be to pick up the phone or drop us an email and share some of your hopes and fears for the future with the team here at Viralheat. We won’t let you sit on a good idea for too long because we believe in doing things. Here’s to doing more in 2015.
