Instagram is nudging Twitter out of the number one social media channel spot. With more than 300 million monthly active users, spending an average of 20 minutes on the app a day, Instagram is an essential tool for reaching audiences near and far.
So how exactly can your brand get on board with this fast-growing social media channel?
Start with a basic marketing strategy. You can’t dive into hashtag tricks and lighting tips if your brand hasn’t established its purpose for joining Instagram in the first place.

What is your brand’s purpose for promoting visual content? Think about your larger marketing and PR strategies to determine why and how you’ll use Instagram. Keep your brand on target by determining which part of the puzzle your account will fill in.
Treat your Instagram profile like a highway billboard. Fill out the information section of your profile with keywords and descriptions of your products or services.
