Staff Changes at The Plain Dealer

Harris was a consumer affairs columnist for The Plain Dealer in Cleveland and a blogger for Consumer Affairs. She wrote a reader-driven consumer help watchdog column covering scams, marketplace snafus, unfair sales tactics, contract traps, consumer laws, legislation and consumer protection. Harris originally joined The Plain Dealer in 2000. She previously served as reporter and consumer columnist for the Akron Beacon Journal starting in 1987. She holds a B.A. in journalism from the Ohio State University.
Also, Thom Fladung has resigned as the managing editor for The Plain Dealer. He joined the newspaper as managing editor February 14, 2011. He previously served as editor of the St. Paul Pioneer Press since October 2005. Prior to that, he was the managing editor of the Detroit Free Press, and also served as city editor, news editor, features editor and assistant features editor.
