Viacom has announced several changes at MTV and VH1. Susanne Daniels has stepped down from her position as president of programming for MTV, a role she had held since November 2012. She has headed to YouTube, where she will lead the site’s original content endeavors. Stepping into Daniels’ role is Mina Lefevre, who had previously been a senior vice president and head of scripted programming since February 2013.
At VH1, president Tom Calderone has departed. He previously served as general manager of MTV Networks, joining the company in 1998. He became general manager at VH1 in 2005, and was named president in 2008. Calderone’s replacement or next move were not announced. In other VH1 news, Chris McCarthy has been named general manager. He was most recently general manager of Logo, MTV2 and mtvU. Follow MTV on Twitter for the latest in music and entertainment news.
