Mary Hudetz Returns To The Associated Press

Mary Hudetz will rejoin the Associated Press‘ Albuquerque, New Mexico bureau in late August to cover law enforcement. Hudetz currently is the editor for Native Peoples overseeing editorial direction, coordination and content of the magazine. Hudetz was previously with the AP as a West regional desk editor from May 2009 to February 2013, also a reporter for the Portland bureau from September 2008 to May 2009. Hudetz has served as editor for Native Peoples magazine since November 2013. Hudetz is a member of the Crow Tribe, and served as president of the Native American Journalists Association from July 2013 to July 2015.
