Reuters has announced several new additions to its 2016 presidential election team. Grant Smith was hired as a political reporter to cover campaign finance. Smith previously served as a data reporter for The Commercial Appeal. Political reporters Erin McPike and Ginger Gibson are set to join the Washington bureau later this month for more campaign coverage. McPike most recently served as a correspondent at CNN since January 2013. Gibson comes from the International Business Times where she served as a senior political writer since October 2014.
In other Reuters news, Andy Sullivan has changed beats from the presidential race to cover U.S. domestic policy. Will Caiger-Smith will join the news service as a senior reporter covering the U.S. securitization market. He previously served as the U.S. editor for GlobalCapital since May 2015.
