McPike most recently served as a correspondent at CNN since January 2013. Gibson comes from the International Business Times where she served as a senior political writer since October 2014.

In other Reuters news, Andy Sullivan has changed beats from the presidential race to cover U.S. domestic policy. Will Caiger-Smith will join the news service as a senior reporter covering the U.S. securitization market. He previously served as the U.S. editor for GlobalCapital since May 2015.
