Mark Bittman Stepping Away from NYT
After spending the last five years writing about the politics and policies behind food, columnist Mark Bittman will be ending his regular column at The New York Times to join a start-up food company. Bittman penned The Minimalist column between 1997 and 2011, and before that wrote the blog Bitten, which merged into Diner’s Journal in April 2010. In all, he has been writing for the Times in various capacities since 1990. Read his farewell post here, and follow The New York Times on Twitter and Instagram for all the news that fit to print.
