Reuters continues to add staff members and has announced a shift in beats for a couple reporters. Suzanne Barlyn is now the new reporter for financial enforcement where she will focus on supervisory and enforcement activities of the New York Department of Financial Services, the Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission. Barlyn was previously working as a reporter covering financial crimes for the news service. Reuters has also added two more reporters, David Shepardson and Emily Stephenson, to the Washington, D.C. bureau team joining other recent additions. Shepardson will cover regulatory policy in the technology and telecommunications industries while Stephenson is covering the 2016 presidential campaign. The news service announced the hire of polling editor Chris Kahn. He will conduct polls on politics and company news. Kahn joins from Bankrate.com where he served as a research and statistics editor. Senior correspondent Jed Horowitz has left Reuters where he was covering wealth management, commercial banking and other financial industry subjects.
