Gawker has said goodbye to interim editor in chief Leah Beckmann, who took the role this summer amid controversy and editorial losses. Beckmann joined the site in 2010 after a successful, if unusual, internship application, and rose through the editorial staff in her five years to ultimately help executive editor John Cook steer the site through last summer’s internal trouble.
