TechCrunch has added four journalists to the fold in Signe Brewster, Stefan Etienne, Lora Kolodny and Kristen Hall-Geisler. Brewster will work as a contributing writer covering space and the study of other science, engineering and math topics. Etienne joins the site as a contributing editor covering gadgets and new hardware. Kolodny will join the staff on March 21 as emerging technologies editor. She will focus on the cross section of food, education, fashion and transportation in the world of technology. She will also provide coverage of technology business models and the pace of startups in various tech-related industries. Hall-Geisler will write stories on the automotive and transportation industries as a contributing writer. Additionally, TechCrunch has also promoted Jay Donovan as staff writer. He had been writing for the site as a contributing editor covering emerging technology and startups. Other promotions include Frederic Lardinois who has been named U.S. news editor and Henry Pickavet is now editorial director.
