Elizabeth Spayd Appointed Public Editor at NYT
The New York Times has named Elizabeth Spayd its sixth public editor, effective in summer 2016. She’ll serve as an ombudsman for the paper, responding to reader concerns over journalistic quality and reviewing coverage. She’ll replace Margaret Sullivan, who is now a media columnist for The Washington Post. Spayd currently serves as editor in chief and publisher of the Columbia Journalism Review, a role she took on in 2014. Connect with The New York Times via Twitter.
