NYT Welcomes International Sports Staffers
In an effort to flesh out its worldwide sports coverage, The New York Times recently announced the hiring of two journalists who will join the paper in the fall. Rory Smith will take the reins as chief soccer correspondent, coming to the NYTimes from the Times of London. Since the Manchester-based Smith got his start in journalism covering the sport, he’s had bylines in The Telegraph, ESPN and The Independent.
On the same side of the pond, Times sports reporter Andrew Keh will move to Berlin to take up his post as European sports correspondent for the paper after he covers the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. Follow The New York Times’ sports coverage on Twitter.
Thanks for all the very nice messages. Genuinely could not be more excited to be joining @nytsports in a few weeks' time.
