Alyson Shontell Tapped as EIC for Business Insider
Business Insider has named Tech Insider executive editor Alyson Shontell as editor in chief for both Tech Insider and Business Insider. Shontell had been the executive editor at Tech Insider since May, and had served as the deputy editor for Business Insider for just over a year prior to that. Shontell has been at Business Insider since 2008, serving as a sales planner, War Room editor, and as a start-ups editor and reporter over her tenure at the publication. She replaces Gus Lubin, who will move into a special correspondent role. Lubin had been the editor in chief of Tech Insider since July 2015, and had previously served as an executive editor and deputy editor at BI. Follow Business Insider on Twitter.
