CisionScoop: Jenny Applegate has departed The Columbus Dispatch, where she was the editor for travel, books, home & garden coverage. She had been with newspaper since 2001.

CisionScoop: Crooked Network has welcomed Michael Martinez as senior news producer. He oversees news coverage for the podcasts Pod Save America, Pod Save The World, Lovett or Leave It, among others. Martinez was previously the managing producer for The Kojo Nnamdi Show on WAMU-FM in Washington, D.C.

Kim Murphy is set to join The New York Times as enterprise editor. She recently completed her tenure as assistant managing editor for foreign and national news for the Los Angeles Times.

The Washington Post has announced John Hudson as its newest Stated Department reporter covering national security. Hudson comes from BuzzFeed where he served as foreign affairs correspondent.

Sandra Song is now senior entertainment editor at Nylon. Prior to joining Nylon, she was the digital entertainment editor for Teen Vogue and an associate editor for Paper magazine.

Kate Rooney is leaving Squawk Box to cover Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies as markets reporter for CNBC.com. She initially joined CNBC as a news associate before becoming a segment producer for Squawk Box in 2016. h/t Talking Biz News

NBC has named Lisa Katz and Tracey Pakosta as co-presidents for scripted programming. Both Katz and Pakosta were previously executive vice presidents for drama and comedy development for the network.

Carrie Jung has joined WBUR-FM in Boston as a senior education reporter. She was most recently a senior field correspondent with the the NPR station in Phoenix, KJZZ-FM.

Manufacturing.Net has parted ways with its former editor Abbey Dean. She had joined the manufacturing industry news site in 2015.
