CisionScoop: Brittany Patterson has joined West Virginia Public Broadcasting as a reporter covering energy and the environment. She comes to WVP from Climatewire, where she covered the Department of the Interior, public lands policy and domestic and international forest policy.
CisionScoop: David Russell Cohen has been brought on as editor for Northeast Real Estate Business, covering real estate in the Northeast region of the U.S. He is also the associate editor for Student Housing Business, covering on- and off-campus real estate for college students, as well. He was most recently the editor for the Atlanta Jewish Times.
The Washington Post welcomes back Jason Rezaian as a staff writer for the Global Opinion section, covering human rights, press freedom and related topics. Rezaian first joined WaPo in 2012 as a correspondent. Meanwhile, deputy national politics editor, Amy Gardner, has moved to WaPo’s political enterprise and investigations teams as a national political reporter, with a focus on untold stories of political leaders and candidates. Gardener has served as a senior local politics editor, national political reporter and regional political reporter since joining WaPo in 2005.
Chris Cuomo, New Day reporter for CNN, will be leaving the morning slot to take over primetime at the station this spring. Prior to joining CNN, Cuomo anchored for ABC’s 20/20, as well as Good Morning America.
The New York Times has brought on Alex March as the Opinion Newsletter editor. March comes from HuffPost, where she was also a newsletter editor. Prior to that, she served as the editorial director of audience engagement and the mobile programming editor for Mic.
Social media producer, Ji Suk Yi has left WLST-TV’s Windy City Live. She joined the station in 2006 as a newsroom desk assistant and was tapped for the job of social media producer when Windy City Live premiered in 2011. Her role on the show eventually expanded to daily on-air contributor.
