Evan Weinberger is the new assistant managing editor for Bloomberg Law, part of Bloomberg BNA, where he will cover banking and financial service regulations. He previously served as a banking reporter for Law360, where he worked since 2008. h/t Talking Biz News
ESPN has named a new president, James Pitaro. He will also serve as co-chair of Disney Media Networks. Pitaro has worked with the Walt Disney Company since 2010 and held various positions, including president of Disney Interactive and most recently chairman of Disney Consumer Products.
Senior health writer Jessica Firger has departed from Newsweek, where she has worked since 2015, and is now available for freelance opportunities. Firger previously worked at CBS Interactive as health editor and Everyday Health as a senior staff reporter.
Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle website goop has welcomed a new editor in chief, Danielle Pergament. She joins goop from her most recent potion as executive editor of Allure magazine where she had worked since 2016.
Fionna Agomuoh has exited Business Insider where she served as a product reviewer. She was previously a review editor and reporter for Newsweek Media Group, contributing to iDigitalTimes and International Business Times.
Us Weekly says goodbye to digital staff writer Abby Feiner who is joining WME Speakers as digital strategy manager. She worked at Us Weekly since 2015 holding various roles such as editorial assistant and assistant social media editor.
