CisionScoop: Tauhid Chappell announced that he will be moving to The Philadelphia Inquirer as their engagement editor. He comes to the outlet from The Washington Post, where he had been the social media editor since 2016. before that, Chapell was with KXTV-TV as a digital content editor. 

CisionScoop: BioFuels Journal has ceased publication as of the first quarter of 2018. Jerry Perkins, the editor for the magazine, has retired after nine years to focus on freelance writing, editing, designing and photography. Prior to joining BioFuels Journal, Perkins was a freelance writer for DSM Magazine and Successful Farming. 

The Center for Public Integrity welcomes two new additions to the team. Rui Kaneya joins as an investigative reporter, covering state politics. Kaneya was most recently an investigative reporter for Honolulu Civil Beat. Meanwhile, Matt Stroud joins the national security team where he covers war technology and the proliferation of high tech weapons. Stroud has previously written for Bloomberg, The Associated Press and The Verge.

ABC news correspondent Nick Watt has moved from ABC to CNN‘s Los Angeles bureau. He still holds the title of correspondent, reporting from around the globe for CNN News broadcasts and platforms.

The Wall Street Journal recently named Kate Linebaugh deputy U.S. news coverage chief. She has been with WSJ for 13 years, and joined U.S. news last year to lead the East Coast bureau. She has also held positions with the paper as the corporate news bureau chief and a reporter. h/t Talking Biz News

Rafael Nam, the chief correspondent covering monetary policy & markets in India for Reuters, has left the news service. Nam joined Reuters in 2007, where he started as a correspondent covering South Korea’s stock markets and Asia bonds.

The Associated Press has named Tom Berman as the regional news director for the Chicago bureau. This is a new position overseeing coverage across the Midwest region. Berman has been with the AP since 1997, where he started in Boston. He has been with the Chicago bureau since 2014 as an editor.

Stephen Schenck has been named the news editor for Android Police, where he will be covering Android software and applications, consumer electronics and Google. Schenck was previously the chief news editor for PocketNow.

Former print editor for The Denver Business Journal, Boots Gifford, has been named editor in chief for Golf Business magazine. Before the Denver Business Journal, Gifford was special sections editor and associate editor of FrontRange Tech Biz. h/t Talking Biz News

Cleveland FOX affiliate station WJW-TV has announced that anchor Bill Martin has moved from anchoring the 10 p.m. and 5 p.m newscasts, down to just the 5 p.m. broadcast. Martin has been with the station’s early evening newscast since 1994.
