CisionScoop: Tamara Audi moved from the Wall Street Journal‘s Los Angeles Bureau to the New York office as part of her new position as deputy enterprise editor. She began working for the WSJ in 2007 as a reporter, and before making the move to New York she held the position of U.S. news editor.
CisionScoop: The Nob Hill Gazette has named Riley McDermid as the new managing editor covering local news and events. She joins the Gazette after serving as a digital producer for the San Francisco Business Times since 2015. She also previously worked with American Business Journals as a correspondent and with The New York Times as a syndicated reporter.
Hugh Son joined CNBC Online as a banking reporter, focusing on JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, and other top financial institutions. He previously served for 12 years as a reporter for Bloomberg News, and prior to that was a reporter and editor for the New York Daily News.
Business Insider will be welcoming Dakin Campbell as a new senior wall street reporter. He recently departed from Bloomberg News where he had worked for 10 years as a banking and finance reporter. His start date has not yet been announced.
Africa-based journalist Siobhan O’Grady will join WorldViews at the Washington Post as a staff writer on April 30. She has been a freelance journalist since 2016 and previously worked for the global magazine Foreign Policy as a staff writer.
The science and health publication STAT said goodbye to senior writer Bob Tedeschi. He covered patients and end of life issues in his column Endnotes. He has joined the healthcare delivery system CareMore Health as Vice President of CareMore Academy where he will work with the development team.
Telemundo’s Denver affiliate KDEN-TV went through a leadership change as Alfredo Sánchez departed after nearly 20 years as news director at the station to pursue a professorship at Metropolitan State University. Griselle Sierra has been appointed as the station’s news director and had previously worked with Wapa America for 8 years as a general producer and with New York’s HITN-TV as a project manager of special events.
Cox Media Group in Jacksonville, FL named Pascale Head integrated news director. She oversees WJAX-TV, WFOX-TV and WOKV-FM as well as CMG Jacksonville’s digital news brands such as the websites, social media, and apps. She previously held the position of senior executive producer for WJAX-TV and WFOX-TV.
Inverse launched a new weekly space themed podcast called I Need My Space. It is hosted by space editor Rae Paoletta and comedian Steve Ward and produced by Hannah Margaret Allen and Weston Green. Each episode is a discussion between the hosts and space experts and enthusiasts where they answer questions about the universe.
