CisionScoop: Neil Haggerty joined American Banker as a reporter covering Congress. He most recently served as a financial regulation reporter for MLex Market Insight, and was previously a news associate at CNBC's Squawk on the Street and Squawk Alley.
CisionScoop: Lindsay Silberman has been named deputy digital editor of Hearst's Town & Country and ELLE Decor. Most recently, Silberman was senior digital editor at Town & Country since February 2017. She previously served as a senior editor at DuJour Media, a staff editor at TV Guide, and a reporter at Inc.
The New York Times parted ways with metro editor Wendell Jamieson. He had been with The Times since 2000, and was named metro editor in 2013. Susan Chira has been named interim metro editor, after serving as a senior correspondent and editor covering gender issues since 2016. She has also worked as deputy executive editor, assistant managing editor and foreign editor for The Times.
Christina Coleman has left Essence to become news and culture director at Glamour. Before joining Essence in 2016, Coleman was managing editor of NewsOne, and previously served as a news and politics editor for Global Grind. She begins her new role May 14.
The Washington Post welcomed reporter Allyson Chiu to its Morning Mix team. Chiu has been an intern on the paper's metro desk since January. She will graduate from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism in June.
- Dakin Campbell joined from Bloomberg News as a senior finance correspondent. During his decade tenure at Bloomberg, Campbell focused on Goldman Sachs and investment banking.
- John Haltiwanger is now a reporter covering the military, defense and geopolitics. He was most recently a breaking news writer for Newsweek, and has also covered politics for Elite Daily.
- Rachel Premack was hired to report on labor news and workplace advice. She previously freelanced for Forbes, The Washington Post, Vice and Quartz.
- Hillary Hoffower rounds out the group as a Your Money reporter covering personal finance. She most recently spent four years as associate editor at the yacht publication Dockwalk.
Adria Iraheta moved from El Paso's KFOX-TV to Bay News 9 in Tampa as a multimedia journalist. She previously worked with KVII-TV in Amarillo, Texas as a multimedia journalist.
North Jersey Media Group named Bruce Lowry opinion and engagement editor of The Record, the Herald News and NorthJersey.com, after nearly a decade as an editorial page columnist. He also served as the assistant editorial page editor, and spent time as commentary editor for the Anniston Star in Alabama.
