CNN has brought on Elaina Plott as political analyst. She is also a White House correspondent for The Atlantic and has been with the magazine since January 2018. Before that, Plott reported for Washingtonian magazine for two years, and also served as a William F. Buckley junior fellow at the National Review.
Morgan Chesky has joined NBC News as national correspondent. He comes from ABC's KOMO-TV in Seattle, where he most recently served as an evening anchor, and had been on staff since 2012. Prior to that, he anchored for KVUE-TV in Austin, Texas, and KLTV-TV in Tyler, Texas before that.
Bloomberg News in Seattle has welcomed Matt Day as a reporter covering technology. He most recently covered Amazon for the Seattle Times, and has also extensively covered Microsoft for the paper. Before that, he worked for The Wall Street Journal for four years.
Keith Koffler has returned to the Washington Examiner news desk and his old job as a senior editor; he’d left the staff to write and promote his book Bannon: Always the Rebel. Koffler is also a freelancer and writes conservative opinion pieces for a variety of outlets, including NBC News.
The Los Angeles Times has named Stacy Perman an enterprise business reporter covering the film industry. She comes from Adweek, where she served as features editor since 2017. Perman is a seasoned business journalist who has worked for Time magazine in New York, Chicago, Tokyo and Berlin, Business 2.0 in San Francisco and Businessweek magazine. Her work has also appeared in publications including The New York Times, Fortune, Barron’s, and Newsweek, among others.
Nicole Griffin has joined Spectrum News in Orlando as a reporter. She comes from WCTI-TV in New Bern, North Carolina, where she spent the last two years as a general assignment reporter. Prior to that, she worked for NCC News in Syracuse, New York as a multimedia journalist.
Sports gambling start-up Action Network has tapped Darren Rovell as senior executive producer; he will cover all things sports betting for the outlet. He has spent the last six years at ESPN reporting on sports business -- including sports betting -- and has had stints with ESPN twice. In between, he reported for CNBC and hosted the "NBC SportsBiz: Game On" on the NBC Sports Network.
Ximena Conde will join WFPL-FM radio in Louisville, Kentucky, as an education and learning reporter, effective Jan. 2. She is currently wrapping up her duties as a producer at Rhode Island Public Radio, a position she has held since January 2017. Before that, she spent a year at Chicago's WFMT-FM as a freelance production assistant.
Meredith's KTVK-TV and KPHO-TV in Phoenix, Arizona, have brought on Brittni Thomason as a reporter. She was most recently a multimedia journalist for KWCH-TV in Wichita, Kansas, and has also previously served as and anchor/reporter at KETK News in Texas.
Jose Pagliery is the new investigative correspondent for Univision's WXTV-TV in New York. He will also serve as the lead of Univision Investiga and will produce special reports and break important stories that directly impact the Hispanic community, across all platforms. Pagliery will also contribute to Noticias Univision 41 “A Tu Lado” (Univision 41 On Your Side), a segment aimed to protect Latinos in the New York City area from fraud and other crimes. He comes from CNN, where he worked for seven years, most recently as an investigative reporter.
