Media Moves at WaPo & Yale Review, U.S. News & World Report Launches Podcast

The Washington Post has announced that Ruth Marcus, deputy editorial page editor, will be on a book leave until November 2019. Michael Duffy will join as acting deputy editorial page editor while Marcus is on leave for the next 12 months. Duffy spent 33 years at TIME in various roles, including deputy managing editor, nation editor, Washington bureau chief and editorial director of Time Inc.

Derek Wallbank of Bloomberg News has moved to Singapore to be a senior editor for breaking news in Asia. He has most recently served as a team leader at Bloomberg's Washington bureau, and has been on staff since 2011. He previously worked for MinnPost.com as its Washington correspondent and for Congressional Quarterly.

U.S. News & World Report has launched Wealth of Knowledge, a weekly podcast  featuring tips and expert insight on all things money: personal finance, careers, investing, real estate, and more. The pod is hosted by consumer advice editor Antonio Barbera, who has been on staff since 2014 when he joined as an intern. 

Meghan O'Rourke has been named editor of Yale Review, effective July 1, 2019. O'Rourke is a poet, memoirist, and journalist, who has served as an editor at The New Yorker, a culture editor and literary critic for Slate, as well as poetry editor for The Paris Review. She is the author of the memoir The Long Goodbye (2011) and the poetry collections Halflife (2007), Once (2011) and Sun In Days (2017). Her essays and poems have appeared in magazines such as The New Yorker, The Atlantic Monthly, The New York Times Book Review, Poetry, and Best American Poetry.

MSNBC.com has named Sam Go executive producer. He was most recently part of the video unit of NBC's Left Field, and before that spent five years as the managing editor of MSNBC.com. Go has been with the NBC television network since 2005, when he joined the staff of "Dateline" as web producer. 

Lisa Rayam is the new morning host and senior producer for "Morning Edition" on WABE-FM radio in Atlanta, Georgia. She comes from Georgia Public Broadcasting, where she spent the last two years as a reporter. Before that, she spent more than two decades at WAGA-TV in Atlanta as an anchor. 

WCCO-AM radio in Minneapolis, Minnesota, has named Cory Hepola morning host. He starts on Jan. 7, and will host a morning broadcast that is a mix of news, pop culture, local business and science, airing weekdays from 9 a.m. to noon. Hepola is finishing his duties as anchor/reporter at Minneapolis-based KARE-TV, a position he has held since 2015. His last day at the station is Jan. 6. 

Longtime WCCO-TV sports anchor Mark Rosen will retire on Jan. 10. He had initially planned to stay at the station through April, but moved up his exit. Rosen will continue to work at sports-radio station KFAN, where he has been a frequent contributor for many years.
