Media Moves at USA Today & Kaiser Health News, MSNBC Launches New Podcast
Adrienne Jordan has joined USA Today as a digital travel reporter for the website. Jordan was previously a freelancer whose work was featured in Afar, Business Insider, Marie Claire, Shape, and more. Her focus was mainly travel, health, and fitness topics.
Investor’s Business Daily welcomes back Matt Krantz as personal finance & management editor. His first stint with the paper was as a technology reporter. Following that, Krantz spent time as a markets reporter for USA Today, as well as a senior financial writer for Capital Group.
Former Refinery29 senior editor, Bourree Lam, has moved to The Wall Street Journal as the bureau chief of personal finance coverage. In the past, she was an associate editor with The Atlantic, and a contributor to Freakonomics.com. She began her career as one of the founding editors of Time Out Hong Kong.
Kaiser Health News has opened a Midwest bureau, based in St. Louis, Missouri. New staff members include Laura Ungar, who has joined as a Midwest editor and correspondent, and Cara R. Anthony, who comes on as a Midwest correspondent. Ungar moves from USA Today, where she was an investigative and enterprise editor. Meanwhile, Anthony was previously with the Belleville News-Democrat, where she was an Emmy-nominated journalist.
Jennifer Christman is the new associate editor for Arkansas Living. She comes from the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, where she was a columnist, features writer, reviewer and style editor. Christman also has a history in radio, serving as a morning radio personality for KURB-FM in Arkansas.
MSNBC recently launched a new podcast, The Oath with Chuck Rosenberg. The show airs weekly, and features former government officials speaking with host, Chuck Rosenberg, about their personal journey, politics, and government. Rosenberg will continue to be a political analyst for the general MSNBC network. He comes from political work himself, most recently serving as Administrator of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
Former Tulsa, Oklahoma KOKI-TV reporter and anchor, Jeff Kolb, is moving to Dallas, Texas for a sports reporter position with KDFW-TV. Kolb came to the south from Rhode Island, where he was a sports anchor and reporter with WJAR-TV, and a host at WEEI-TV. He starts his new position May 28.
Wilmington, Delaware station WJBR-FM has named Johnny Baublis as its program director. Baublis most recently spend twelve years in Texas as program director and morning host on KLAK-FM.
