Bloomberg News has announced a new hire and two beat changes:
Akshat Rathi has joined Bloomberg as a reporter covering the climate crisis and solutions related to combating the climate crisis. He comes from Quartz where he covered health, science and the environment.
Kelly Gilblom has relocated to the Bloomberg bureau in Los Angeles from the bureau in London. With her move comes a change in beats, previously covering oil and gas she will now cover entertainment as a reporter. She has been with Bloomberg since 2014.
Helene Fouquet has switched beats to covering robots, algorithms, cookies and data lakes. She previously covered French politics. She has been with Bloomberg since 2006 and before that had worked at The New York Times for four years.
The Associated Press has named Harriet Morris news director for Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States. She began working for the AP in 2006 as a video producer in London. Prior to joining the AP she had freelanced for outlets like Al Jazeera English in London and Russia Today TV in Moscow.
Jane Bradley has joined The New York Times bureau in London as an investigative correspondent. She most recently served as a senior reporter for Buzzfeed U.K as a part of the Investigations Team for over four years. Prior to that, she spent several years at BBC in various roles including producer and broadcast journalist.
Food & Wine magazine has named Margaret Eby senior editor. She previously worked for MyRecipes as a senior editor and served as a culture editor for over three years at Time Inc. where she helped launch Extra Crispy, a breakfast-centric food vertical.
Eric Wesoff has been named senior editor for PV Magazine. He most recently held the role of editor in chief at Greentech Media for over ten years. He replaces Christian Roseland, who is now the editorial director for the Rockey Mountain Institute.
KSAT-TV, the ABC affiliate in San Antonio, Texas, has promoted Max Massey to anchor the weekend Good Morning San Antonio segments. He has been with KSAT-TV since 2017. Prior to that he worked as a news reporter at KOLN-TV in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Faran Krentcil has joined The Newswette as editorial director. Most recently she served as a contributing editor at Elle Magazine for over five years. Prior to Elle she worked for Yahoo as a contributing style editor.
WCTI-TV, the ABC affiliate in New Bern, North Carolina, has named Alexis Cruz as an anchor during the 4:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. morning show and noon newscast. She spent over two years as an anchor at WCJB-TV in Gainesville, Florida.
