SevenFifty has announced two staff promotions and an addition to the editorial team of Beverage Media:
Kristen Bieler has been named executive editor for SevenFifty Daily and editor in chief of Beverage Media. In her new role, she oversees editorial coverage on the beverage industry in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, North Carolina, New York and West Virgina.
Anna Klainbaum has been named senior digital editor for SevenFifty Daily. She oversees the digital content strategy for the magazine. Prior to SevenFifty Daily, she was a content strategist and consultant for 18 years.
Greg Winter has been named international managing editor for The New York Times. He has been with the paper since 2000 and joined the staff as a BizDay summer intern. Winter will continue to cover enterprise and investigative journalism.
The Associated Press has named Adam Kealoha Causey news editor overseeing Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma. He has been with The Associated Press since 2015 serving as a desk editor, administrative correspondent and interim news editor.
The Information has hired Kare Clark as a reporter covering venture capital and startups. She comes from TechCrunch where she held a similar role covering venture capital and startups since 2018. Her duties also include co-hosting TechCrunch’s venture capital podcast, Equity.
Mitchell Parton has joined the San Antonio Business Journal as a commercial real estate and retail reporter. He replaces Ryan Salchet, who now serves as a commercial real estate reporter for Dallas Business Journal. Parton was previously a photography intern at Cincinnati CityBeat and before that served as the multimedia editor/director for The News Record, the University of Cincinnati's student newspaper.
WZAK-FM, a Radio One affiliate in Cleveland, Ohio, has hired Robin Sadler to co-host “The Sam Sylk Show with Bijou Star.” She comes from WENZ-FM in Detroit, where she spent seven years, most recently as the midday host.
WSB-TV, the ABC affiliate in Atlanta, Georgia, has hired Jorge Estevez as news anchor for the 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. newscast. He will co-anchor alongside Jovita Moore. Prior to WSB-TV, Estevez was an anchor for WFTV-TV in Orlando since 2012.
WTXF-TV, the Fox affiliate in Philadelphia, has named Marcus Espinoza a general assignment reporter. Prior to WTXF-TV, he was a weekend anchor for KHQA-TV in Quincy, Illinois, since 2017, and before that reported for NBC’s MMJ-TV in Toledo, Ohio.
WEPN-FM, the ESPN-affiliated in New York, has hired Bart Scott as an on-air personality. He will co-host “Bart & Hahn” from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays and contribute regularly to ESPN-TVs morning shows, “Get Up” and “First Take.” Scott comes from NFL Today, where he worked as an analyst
